After some initial test printing (linoleum blocks with textile pigments), I am obsessed with this sageish natural linen. The weight is perfect. It has a warmer tone and tighter weave than the natural linen I have been using. I'll be ordering more for making wall hangings and my bento-style bags.

Ideal Weight: Not too heavy or see-through, perfect for trousers. Easy to Handle: Cuts and sews straight without twisting or shifting. Comfort/Care: Breathes well like linen but wrinkles less and washes easily. recommendation: preshrink prior to sewing

I wasn’t sure what kind of quality I’d get since it was my first time buying but I took a chance on this heavier, higher quality linen to use as a backing for my rug hooking project (to be a throw pillow). Well it’s the most beautiful linen I’ve ever seen! It’s easy to pull warp and weft to get a perfect square on grain, very long staple, no slubs. So soft and squishy! I will definitely buy more for many upcoming projects! 5 stars!!

If I could give this 10 stars I would. This linen is fabulous! The feel, the drape, the color, the quality are all top notch. I will be using this to recreate some scenes, with crewel embroidery, from the Bayeux Tapestry. The fabric has a very rich look. I think, due to the drape, that it will be very easy to work with for my purpose. I only wish more colors were available in this.

I ordered 3 types of linen. This white one was much more stiff and rough feeling. It will serve my purpose for crewel work. It seems much heavier than the the three though they were all the same. It may be perfect for aprons, bags, coveralls, etc. However it IS noticeably stiffer. The white is very white which is nice.

The fabric is beautiful with a gorgeous weave and wonderful drape for the weight. I plan to use it for crewel embroidery. 10.5 oz has a nice solid feel to it. It will stand up to heavy crewel.
